There is a lot to planning a wedding and reception, but the one thing that seems to take the longest to decide, is what to get your guests as thank you gifts. There is choices like practical gifts that they can use at home, crystal gifts or maybe even ceramic wedding favors figurines. No matter which you consider, you’ll find more than enough to choose from.
I’ve even found ceramic favors for my country themed wedding ceremony and reception party. You can use just about any favor made of ceramic for almost any themed wedding you are planning. I found these little black ceramic wedding trays and tea caddys that I thought were really awesome. Some of the selection I checked out were tea lights, flower vases, and candle holders that would make awesome ceramic wedding gifts. In fact, there were so many to choose from, and like I said before, gift shopping is the hardest part of planning a wedding, so, I saved that for last.
So, I decided to start with the decorations for my reception tables first. My centerpieces fit right in with a country western motif, as I used metal buckets filled with daisies, and used tablecloths with red and white checks over all the picnic tables. The little barbecue grills I picked out as place card holders were so cute, and I thought they would make adorable little souvenirs of our reception for our friends and family to keep. I figured little barbecue grills were a neat idea, since we weren’t having a catered reception, but instead, a large family cookout. There were also little cowboy hats at each place setting and cowboy boot glasses for the refreshments. I chose the really lovely honey pots and dippers, with a heart on the end on their handles, as the ceramic wedding favors for our guests, instead of the tea caddy I saw earlier. I felt they worked out better for a country western theme and I really liked the way they looked. Although, I almost went with ceramic wedding favor candle holders, which were really awesome. Not only did our reception tables look like an authentic down home celebration, but all the rest of the accessories we had for our reception was perfect too.
We had little twinkle white lights hanging all around the dance area, and piles of haystacks scattered about. Our wedding cake topper was not to be believed, it was figurines of a cowgirl roping her man and hauling him to the altar. Everyone seemed to get a lot of laughs out of our cake topper and we thought it was quite amusing too. There were lots of laughter at our reception, we all dance, and partied our little hearts out and had such a super time. The kids really had a great time on the hayride we had all fixed up for everyone, and that had to be one of the best times ever.
Our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and all the people that cared enough to be in our wedding party received nice little gifts from us too. I bought for the ladies in my wedding party and my fiance chose the guys gifts, which were darling little ceramic favors for the girls and really neat looking cowboy steins for the guys. But for the little flower girl and the ring boy we bought tee shirts that had flower girl and ringboy printed on them. Our friends and family and everyone in our wedding party seemed to be very impressed with our choice of wedding favor gifts for each of them.
I also bought a few extras for myself, like a sharp little western themed guestbook and pen, picture album and I even ordered a cowboy hat for me and my husband that said bride and groom on them. All in all, this country western themed wedding was really more than I had hoped for, it was spectacular and we all had such a great time.
