Unique memory books!

Monday, May 11th, 2009

We go through a lot of days that we’d like to remember forever in our lifetimes. There is your bridal shower, wedding day, baby showers and so many more ocassions you want to hang on close to your heart. I keep these memories alive with my photo memory books, which are some of my most treasured possessions. I have my wedding shower wedding book from the night my sister and my friends threw me a fantastic bash. It was a phenominal night, and there are plenty of photographs to prove it. The pretty things they had arranged at the party and the exciting places we went to, that evening, were all caught on film. We really had a wild time and I’ve got super photos to prove it. Some of the exotic male dancers we saw posed for a couple of shots. They didn’t have any trouble holding our attention. That was my only foray into the world of exocitc dancers, and it was memorable. They may not be as famous as the Chippendale dancers, but these were more than entertaining, that’s for sure.
When I chose all the accessories and reception supplies for our wedding, I also made sure I had a memory book for our photos of the wedding and reception. I’m glad I got one with as many pages as I did. Actually, I had to get two of them to hold all of the pics. Even after filling our wedding photo album with pictures there were still many photos left to find places for. There were also pages for our guests signatures in one of the albums. Our last initial was on the front of our beautiful personalized memory books, with my first initial to the left of it and my husband’s to the right of it. These books have such a look of elegance with it’s satin ribbon and gorgeous fabric. Fortunately, you can add pages to them if you have to, which of course we did.
I made sure that I had books to hold all my memories of every important event in my life so far. The number of keepsake memory books I have will only go up since I hang on to them all. Right now, I have my bachelorette book, my wedding book and my baby shower books. I have a little girl that’s turning three next week and a little baby boy that is only one year old. Since we knew what we were having each time, I was able to order a pink book for her and a blue one for him. I keep everything from their christenings to their first steps in these books. We have fingerprints, birth certificates, and regular pictures of them in the baby memory books. I also put an invitation in the shower books and wedding photo book too. I have so many memories stored in our closet that I could probably start my own picture gallery.
I intend to keep the memories of those wonderful days alive for the rest of my life, and I plan on keeping my memory books in the closet, no matter how much my husband keeps complaining. Of course, now I’m going to be shooting home videos on a camcorder that I recently purchased, so I’m focusing on making space on some shelving in the living room. With all the videos I plan to record and all the picture albums and memory books I’ve acquired, not to mention all that I intend to aquire, I’ll probably have to make more room in other closets around the house. Hey, a girls got to have her memories to look back on. These are the most precious years in a mothers life and I’m not letting anything get by me.
